Junior Sailing Program

The Sailing Committee has decided to reconfigure the Junior Sailing Schools, and the program will not be offered this summer.  Going forward, all CIYC youth sailing programs will be limited to 6 sailors or less and utilize the Sunfish fleet.  This will allow closer supervision of new youth sailors and in-boat training by instructors.  Adult schools will also utilize the Sunfish fleet.  All future sailing schools will be available to members and their families, but not the public.  These changes are due to evolving safety requirements and CIYC’s response to a recent accident at another Florida youth sailing program.
